Food delivery · Case study

A complete multi-app food delivery ecosystem

Customer app, restaurant-partner app, delivery app and a web partner portal — one platform, built end-to-end.

2backend services behind a shared data core

The problem

Restaurants relying on aggregator platforms pay heavy per-order commissions and never own their customer relationship. The goal: a full ordering ecosystem the business owns outright — customer ordering, kitchen management, delivery coordination and payments — without licensing anyone else's software.

What we built

We designed the platform as two backend services with clearly separated concerns — ordering and restaurant operations — sharing a MongoDB core, with WebSocket channels pushing live order state to every app the moment it changes.

Three mobile apps were built from a shared component architecture: the customer app for browsing and ordering, the partner app for kitchens to accept and manage orders, and the delivery app for riders. The partner experience also ships as a web portal so restaurants can run operations from any browser.

Fine-grained access control (an AWS-IAM-style permission model) governs every operation, and the platform runs in audit mode first so permissions can be tightened on real traffic before enforcement — a zero-downtime rollout.
